"Namakubi" is a new folding knife by Brutalica, a great unusual EDC device.
Namakubi (the severed head) have roots in the warrior class of feudal Japan and can represent a number of things including battle prowess or respect for one's enemy. The impermanence of life and the conduct someone displays when their time has come creates a sort of beauty in violence.
This is a very stylish friction folder designed to be a cool EDC knife for everyday use.
The blade is very close to the "Kiridashi" style but I think can be simply called a Tanto-style blade. It is made of durable Japanese AUS8 steel.
The handle is 100% brass with interesting laser engravings on it.
This is a classic friction folder - folding knife without any locks which makes it legal to carry in many countries around the world.
Namakubi comes with a leather pouch. You can carry the knife in the pocket, bag, as a neck knife, or keychain.
This device can be used for many everyday tasks like opening all these boxes from online purchases, pencil-sharpening in the office, letter opener, etc. You can keep it in your car, backpack, or basement bar as an attractive conversation piece.
This is an AWESOME gift for any man! (or woman)
