The type of pattern-welded steel is the called “Damascus steel”. Originally used in middle eastern sword making, the method has been lost since about the 16th century. But in 1973 bladesmith William F. Moran unveiled his “Damascus knives” at the Knifemakers’ Guild Show. Ever since then modern pattern-welded steel blades have been called “Damascus knives”... As with any other TRC knife the fit and finish of this knife are just perfect. The M390 steel with the HRC 60-61 is superb!
Here is a nice review of this knife done a couple of days ago by the DBK: https://youtu.be/Q34weJkis5E
This is possibly the best finished knife in a collection of hunting knives. I have been totally thrilled with the level of craftstionship that goes into these Russian knives. This is the second knife I have bought from Rosarms and both are a step or two above the quality i get from any other maker here in the states. The fit and finish of the two I have is literaly perfect-- high praise but I've owned a number of hunters in the $230 to $350 dollar range that do not match this knife for quality -- I will be back for more ----- John H
The knife overall is great. Handles feel nice in hand. The edge out of box was a little on the less sharp side. Still could cut if I needed it to. Easy enough to sharpen. And distributor was great!
Retention is terrific. It's a nice 440c blade. It's not overly sharp out of the box but it's serviceable. The Ulticlip is awesome but it is not super versatile. Overall not a bad deal.
Love the knife! Great service and shipping was quick!
This is a fantastic smaller knife that is very sharp.
The fit and finish are flawless! Haven't had a chance to test it in a hard use scenario, but it is very solid and built quality along with used materials is perfect, as with any other TRC knives.

Very nice knife with a razor edge right out of the box. Speaking of boxes, like all the Russian-made knifes I have purchased previously, the box for this knife is first-class; very heavy construction and functional for storing the knife.
The blade design is just as shown in the photographs and the Micarta black canvas handle material is attractive and will permit a solid grip with this knife under any conditions, wet or dry.
The Kydex sheath is very protective and holds the knife very firmly with built-in clamps on both sides of the blade guard. The sheath has a drain hole and a clamp for your waist band, pocket or boot wherever you decide to carry this knife. I would have preferred a standard belt/boot clip, however, this one works well and clips very firmly to whatever fits inside the clip.
The blade is very strong with a 4mm thickness, wide groove in the center and single edge design that is also very attractive.
This knife is light enough to carry easily and would be very useful for dressing small game in addition to being a great self defense tool.
The knife is beautiful and beautifully constructed...no surprise with Olamic’s but sub-hilts can go south in a hurry but this Suna handles like a dream. The Mosaic Damascus Blade is super unique with a subtle hollow grind that really makes it slicey. The Damascus hilts and pommel are a great touch. Comes with a very usable and sturdy leather sheath and Russian Knives service and communication is absolutely top notch. Thanks for great holiday deal as well!
Fit and finish are stellar as expected from a TRC knife. The only surprise was simply how comfortable the handle is. It’s not as flashy as the Apocalypse, which is an awesome knife in its own way. The Mille Cuori is far more practical.
Excellent knife. Perfect grips and powerful blade just like on other four knives I previously bought from "Russian Knives"
Very impressed with the design, ergonomic, material and esthetics of the knife. It would make a great outdoor/bushwhacking blade. Happy with my purchase
Bought the Polite/Mr Blade in tan . Quality is outstanding . Thanks Vlad for stocking the Polite/Mr Blade.
