We are very happy to introduce a new camping/hunting knife by Kizlyar Supreme - MALAMUTE in our store!

Named after the trusty and northern dog, once you use the Malamute from Kizlyar Supreme this knife will be your best blade. It’s a simple, classic design with a sharp cutting edge. Like its namesake, the Malamute is built for power and perseverance. Made from German Niolox steel, 4 ½” long blade tapers from 119mm thickness from the back to the tip. The smooth Caucasus Walnut handle feels great in your hand and allows for multiple grips for cutting. The solid piece handle has a lanyard hole if you so wish to add one. Barely weighing 4 oz it hard to believe you holding anything at all. This knife is completed with an embossed black leather sheath. The sheath is designed to dangle from your belt for ease while squatting or climbing.

      lightweight, not great edge retension

See this as being a good knife for fishing and backpacking for those who are focused on pack weight but also know how to sharpen in the field...gonna need that skill with this knife. The scandinavian style handle is functional with a clear coat over the wood that will resist water. The blade shape is functional as well with a slight upswept/persian tip. In a hardwood featherstick test I was initially impressed by fining the edge easily and creating extra fine curls, but after say 10 to 20 passes of 3 to 4 inches, the edge became dull enough to make me want to stop the task all together. I see using this for fishing and food prep, but no wood tasks

      Great Knife.

Fits the hand, very sharp straight out of the box. Very well made. Only used it for
feather sticks so for but made it very easy.
