Fang | Southern Cross

It is a beautiful world out there if you are in to knives. I find myself stepping more and more toward these makers from Russia, Lithuania, Finland, Italy and other places as the quality and the creativity of these makers is really starting to put the "Made in USA" on notice. I have a Sebenza, I have a Bark River, but find myself reaching for the TRC, Southern Cross, Afonchenko, Viper, etc. more and more often. The Fang is just another example of just how well you can do for the money. And of course, RussianKnives service is top notch.

I was blown away by the fit and finish of this knife! The convex grind is on point. This knife punches way above its price point, don't hesitate to get your hands on one.

My Fang came hair shaving sharp! Grip is large enough for my large hand and nicely textured. Full tang with 2 pins and a lanyard pin. Excellent blade steel Boehler N 690 and great sweep on the blade. The sheath is high quality thick leather. It has a dangler or a higher ride option. The price is very good, considering all your getting. A nice knife, that will last a lifetime. 🔪

Knife is nice and comfortable in the hand. Leather sheath is nice as well, but you have to be very careful when you put the knife in the sheath. If the blade tip is not perfectly centered in the sheath, it will try to slide between the blade “guard” and the outside layer of the leather. Once you get used to it, it’s no big deal. Worth noting though. Overall happy with purchase. Shipping and RussianKnives was awesome.
