I waited a long time for this to come back in stock. I haven't had a lot of time with the knife yet, but my initial impression is very positive. Came sharp, was easy to get even sharper. Great fit and finish. I am in love with the birch bark handle. Fantastic feel. I really like the new sheath. My wife commented on how nice it was.

The Cadet was my first Russian knife purchase and I have no regrets. This has been my camp knife and a knife of many uses. Well made good balance nice fit and finish. Blade steel came sharp holds a good edge and does not dull easily also easy to sharpen. The birtch bark handle is awesome and has a vary nice feel especially in winter! Vary durable knife that has put up with a lot and still looks new!

I am very pleased with my purchase. It is so nice I hate to use it but it is such a good knife that it is my best carry. Thank you.

The cadet is the perfect hunting knife as advertised. The handle fits perfectly the hand. The blade is the most useable I've seen. I have the birch bark version. It looks like a cross between a Finnish knife and an American knife. Beautiful unique knife. The sheath is also perfect and minimalistic in nature. Nothing more than what is needed.
