Produced by Bohler-Uddenholm, ELMAX steel is made of 1.7% carbon, 18% chromium, 0.3% manganese, 1% molybdenum, 0.8% silicon, and 3% vanadium. This composition allows for the metal to have high wear resistance, high compression strength, superior corrosion resistance, and a very good ability to retain its size and form even after taking abuse.
