This knife is a gift to my husband, and here is his review:
"I got this Patriot knife in June 2024 as a gift from my wife, and now, about half a year later, it is not too soon to make a review. At a very first glance, the knife does not appear remarkable. However, it is a 'sleeper' - upon close examination, it made a quite an impression. Universal molle-compatible sheath provides for great flexibility in carrying the knife, yet leaves plenty of space for creativity in modifying / making a sheath tuned to owner's specific needs / wants.
The anatomically shaped handle feels just right, allows reliable holding in various ways and is big enough for a 6' - 4" man's hand in a working glove. G10 handle scales are attached to a full tang at 3 points - in two with bolts and in a third one close to the butt with a hollow rivet serving as a hole for a lanyard.
The overall size, shape and proportions of the D2 steel blade are very convenient and the knife is well balanced for a variety of chores. Ribbed thumb pad on a spine at the front of a handle enhances blade control in precise movements, and ribbing on the butt reduces slippage for more efficient knocking / crushing.
While a counterintuitive choice in tasks for a small (folding) knife or an ax (machete), this knife is a very good piece of equipment for anyone spending a lot of time at a camp or on a trail.
With experience in wilderness during field seasons as a member of GS crews, I attest that Patriot is a great all-around mid-size fixed blade field knife, and I am happy to have it.”
