One lovely knife!

This knife is simply gorgeous! For the price it is very hard to find anything that comes close to this quality, craftsmanship and materials. Great knife for hunting! However this is not a full tang, has relatively delicate blade, therefore should not be overloaded and should be handled with care!

Stehr / Sharp knife!

My Stehr is hair shaving sharp. The blade is nicely polished. The handle has grip but no hot spots. The guard is low profile and beautiful. The sheath is of real leather. Not pleather. The dangler and loop are very strong. Hard to find better knife for the price.

Excellent hunting knife

The sheath is high quality, well made leather with a plastic liner and a very well done dangler attachment. The handle has superb ergonomics and will fit a variety of hand sizes in most any grip. The over all fit and finish is outstanding and comparable to many knives that easily cost 2 to 3 times as much. The blade has a very versatile shape and the full flat grind makes it an outstanding slicer; great for food prep, game processing and general cutting duties. This is not a dedicated bushcraft knife, so it does not excel at wood crafting or carving, but you could do a lot worse than this. The N690 steel is a great choice for a food/game prep knife as well as general use. I did have to touch up the factory edge just a bit (added a slight convex to the secondary) to get it to where I like it. The heat treat seems spot on as after its initial touch up, I've not had to do more than a mild stropping after 2 weeks of household cutting chores. Overall, I am very impressed with Southern Cross, and I expect I will be getting more.
